We are looking for an experienced Senior Android Developer to join Walmart's mobile development team in Sunnyvale, CA. This is a hybrid role, requiring 2 days onsite per week, with the opportunity to work on high-impact projects that enhance the experience of millions of Walmart app users.
Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain robust, scalable Android applications using Kotlin and Java
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features
- Optimize applications for maximum performance, usability, and reliability
- Ensure high code quality through code reviews, automated testing, and adherence to best practices
- Integrate with back-end services and third-party libraries to deliver seamless mobile experiences
- Stay updated with the latest industry trends and Android technologies, such as Jetpack, Room, and Compose
- Mentor and guide junior developers, providing technical leadership and direction
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience in Android app development with Kotlin and Java
- Strong knowledge of Android UI design principles, patterns, and best practices
- Experience with RESTful APIs, Android SDK, and third-party libraries
- Familiarity with tools like Git, Jira, and continuous integration/deployment pipelines
- Excellent problem-solving and debugging skills
